Because of the progress of information technology, network technology and multimedia technology, e-learning teaching methodology which is not limited by space or time like traditional teaching models is becoming more popular. The capability to organize and present education materials consistent with the individual learner’s knowledge is not present in most of the e-Learning systems, though many have been developed by the e-learning system in recent years. Moreover, proper knowledge management is necessary for assisting e-learning users to obtain exact and full information about the kind of content they need.

Accordingly, we have designed an adaptive e-learning system that makes use of appropriate knowledge management method and adaptability. The domain knowledge is acquired both from domain experts and WWW and the acquired knowledge is stored in a knowledge base,. Then, the knowledge is managed with the predefined user level.

Finally, the learning contents are provided to the user adaptively by evaluating their knowledge level.
